Graduation Weekend in D.C.

Hi, I'm Bri (the ginger) and the other nerdy 7th grader pictured here- that's my best friend Megan.

Megan and I were both obsessed with Maze Runner (especially the character Newt) in Middle school😂.

After Highschool Megan and I attended different colleges. We always wanted to visit each other's colleges. And with Megan attending The George Washington University (G.W.), we always wanted explore the museums together!

When Megan told me her graduation date. I knew this was my last shot to visit her at G.W.! So I worked out a plan to attend her graduation.



I originally pursued the plan of flying, getting a hotel, and 'Ubering'. But thanks to the generosity of Alix's family I didn't have to do any of that! We stayed at Lulu's (THE Gma 😎) and Alix and Gerri Ubered me everywhere. 🥹🫶

We even did side adventures together! Like returning to Guapos which you can read a food review on here!

I am so thankful for Alix's family for helping this weekend happen!

The night we arrived we went out and got Guapos!

Then attempted to walk off the food coma by goofing around 'Tar-jay'. Even found Alix's new obsession- a Psyduck plush lol.

The next day, I met the Flynn family for Megan's graduation! It was a little creepy, but also cool that AI 'read out' each of the grad's names. Just listen to Megan's down below!

Soon after we were reunited with Meggy, GW's most recent grad!

We got to meet her favorite professor at her Honors Psych reception. Then we made our way back to her family's hotel.
There we ate a yummy uber eats lunch.

Then, I got to hang out at Megan's apartment chatting and taking buzzfeed quizzes like old times!

Tried Sweet Greens for the first time and this bowl was so refreshing. Loved how it was customizable!

Next up was dinner! At no other than il Canale, one of U.S.'s top restaurants with a pizzeria according to yelp! This place attracts celebrities and regular folk a like. For a full review you can read more here!

At dinner each of us gave a speech (or speeches) about Megan the Great. Erin the Average on the other hand, didn't quite get the same type of honors.🤣

Ending the night, we first spammed our phones with silly selfies. Then just walked and talked along the city's river. 🌃💗

Day 2: The Commencement!

I woke up early the next day to spend some time with Meg b4 her commencement. Then we were off to the Washington monument for a MONUMENTAL occasion!

At commencement Erin and I pretended to be on the media team and fangirled over a set of triplets (momma Flynn did too lol).

After Commencement Megan was freed! So we had to take lots of fun photos on the walk back to her apartment!

We even got free flowers and took lots of pics at the Hive Hotel 'BEE'cause it was 'BEE'utified for GW's graduation weekend!

Once we reached Meg's apartment it was pretty much time for me to go. I gave everyone the biggest hug and said a 'see you real soon'.

Thank you to Megan, the Flynn fam, and Alix's family for a super fun graduation weekend! I cant wait to see what great adventure you'll do next Megan. With all my heart I wish you a congratulations, you did it girl🥳🎓
