Exploring Nature in Ohio

Did you know Ohio is filled of natural wonders? Attending college in Ohio, I was lucky to explore some nearby nature sites. However, this mini family vacay granted me the opportunity to more deeply explore the nature Ohio has to offer!

For this family trip we stayed at a cozy cabin located in Geneva on the Lake, Ohio.

The lyman kids each pose near one letter of the "GOTL" Genova on The Lake sign.

To get to Geneva on the Lake we crossed through Cleveland. And now I know what you're thinking- 'But, Bri! Cleveland is a city!' Yes, you are correct. BUT Cleveland is also home of Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront State Park, a beautiful escape from some of the hassle of city life.

We were watching Stranger Things season 4 as a family on this vacation so of course we had to take a 'Vecna pic"

This was the trip I also began making educational Canva posts in attempt to strengthen my storytelling skills! Feel free to click through these slides or click on the gallery photos below to see more of this City's natural wonder!

Once we arrived to Genova on the Lake, we obviously had to see the Lake. We were delighted to discover that the beaches along this section of Lake Erie were quite secluded and serene. While the water was a little cold, the waves were gentle and relaxing!

We also got to explore the town, and it was adorable! Click through the slides below to learn some more about Geneva on the lake!

It was on this vacation I finally got to visit Ohio's only National Park- Cuyahoga Valley! This National Park is filled with natural wonders. However, the nature within Cuyahoga was almost destroyed! Click through the slides below to read about Cuyahoga's history in this story of hope and conservation.

We had so much fun exploring Cuyahoga for the day! I can't wait for the opportunity to go back and explore some more!

What a great trip! I guess you can find "it", even natural wonders, here in Ohio!
