In fun font the text says "An Artsy Fartsy Type of Day" then in tinier font "E.P.C.O.T Festival of the Arts 2024"

An Artsy FARTSy type of day

'Hoppy' Easter Weekend every-'bunny'!

I don't know about you, but the thought of Easter, sends thoughts of spring into full bloom!

And when I think of Spring, I can't help but envision flowers dancing towards bright skies as life experiences an explosion of colors.

AND associated with this life full of color is two of E.P.C.O.T's most spectacular festivals! Festival of the Arts and Flower and Garden.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But Bri, Festival of the Arts takes place in the winter!"

And, yes you are right. But I'd argue that Festival of the Arts (otherwise known as FARTs) has 'spring' vibes.

Besides, while fortunate enough to experience Flower and Garden, 2023; I didn't get to partake in the totality of this festival as I got to do with FARTs during my DCP.

Alix poses with his arm bent out in front of him smiling with a topiary of Tigger posed the same way behind him.
It was actually Easter, 2023 when my boyfriend, sisters, mom, and I went to Flower and Garden!

So without further a do, I present to you "An Artsy FARTsy Type of Day"!

With my DCP rapidly approaching an end, my DCP buddy and I were desperately trying to hang-out together again. Luckily we both ended up having Wednesday January, 24 off! Both of us had yet to explore FARTs. So we decided to have a totally awesome Artsy Fartsy type of day together!

To make the most of our day we made a "FARTs" activity guide with all the must see and do FARTs things!

To kick off our very Artsy FARTSy adventure we attended a drawing class! I was thrilled to see we would be drawing a character from one of my favorite movies- the Fox and the Hound!

The Animation Academy was such a fun experience! I loved the premise that every class was a different Disney Character. The animators are always clear with their directions and have an encouraging attitude! And hey I think our Dixies turned out pretty Foxy!

Throughout the day our visual senses were fully immersed with beautiful imagery such as the chalk walk! I passed through the chalk walk a few times during my last month in Disney and there was always new chalk art. Talk about Disney Magic with these artists frequently gracing the sidewalks with their magnificent creativity and skill!

Maddie and I also had fun exploring the photo-ops and art galleries. Here are some of my favorites (including some photos from Alix's quick but extra special visit)!

Cheers to FARTs!

Maddie and I were honestly a little off-put by this show. Was very slow and music was too dark for an upbeat festival. :/
One of the coolest things about E.P.C.O.T. is that you never know who you may meet! Unique characters often appear near Regal Eagle!

One of my absolute favorite parts of this artsy FARTsy type of day was Figment's Brush with the masters scavenger hunt! It was so cool to see Figment (or elements) of Figment in famous art works. And for better or worse, this scavenger hunt was NOT easy! Mexico and Japan had us asking for clues (received some hilarious hints from cast lol) and Morroco had us running!

To end our Artsy FARTsy day, we enjoyed a PHENOMENAL live performance by Heidi Blickenstaff (Freaky Friday) and Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins). They were hilarious and super talented singing a variety of Broadway songs. Opening with Be Our Guest (video 1) and closing with King of New York (video 2) from Newsies (the first Broadway show I ever saw)!

Enjoyed this post? Let me know by voting for your favorite E.P.C.O.T festival! As always, stay curious. ~Bri

That “stinks” you couldn’t complete your full FART mission in a day…but glad you were able to check everything off the list later!
Looks like you had a great day!
