1.) Udder Heaven
While not seafood, this place lives up to it's namesake. With unique flavors of homemade ice-cream and fun desert creations, this location is utterly heaven. It quickly became Bri's heaven as I would ask for it after every hike lol.

As if Udder Heaven couldn't get even better, it's right across from putt putt! We had so much fun walking the plank on the 'more challenging' 18 holes course at Pirates Cove. I even got MVP for my freakishly good luck of 'bop bop boppin' the ball and getting it right next to the hole. Eli even talked to me saying I had a good hit one round!⛳🤪

2.) Thurston's
Taking second place we got the best lobstah in all of baa-haa-baar, at Thurstons!
Forgot to take a photo of the blueberry mojito but it was delicious scoring 8/10 ⭐'s and the blueberry cake was dense but I liked how it was not overly sweet 7/10 ⭐'s. Thurston's was a bit of a struggle for a rookie like me. But such a fun and delicious experience!
3.) Beal's Lobster Pier
With the amount of lobster themed food, one is almost obligated to eat at a lobster pound when visiting Bar Harbor, Maine. And this is NOT a bad thing. Ranking up place number three is another lobster pound providing an uniquely Maine experience. I absolutely loved Beal's and the only reason why it is second to Thurston's is due to the lobster itself and the views. Beal's however had many more creative dishes and was super unique that you could pick up the lobster of your choice and place it on the scale yourself!
4.) Blaze
Dining here on our first day, Blaze set the standards for Bar Harbor foods very high.
5.) Jalepeno's
A spontaneous lunch trip in downtown Bar Harbor, ME leads us to number 5 on our list- Jalepeno's! This restaurant was definitely the most bizarre- in a funny good way. Playing 2010 hit pop love songs and the bartender spilling the blueberry glaze when attempting to savage a strawberry magarita pitcher into a blueberry one lol.

6.) Milagro
Scoring 6 on our list is Milagro. We didn't eat in here or anything. Just got a muffin. But that muffin was THAT good. It was also a cute coffee shop with good vibes and I enjoyed how we could walk there.

Speaking of places we were able to walk to. I would like to give an honorable mention to Notch Bakery and their Quiche which was flaky and despite not being warm still very homey/comforting. Then there's the wine and cheese shop which was aesthetic and employees so nice. I didn't like the blueberry and rhubarb wine but the brie and duck salami was BANG. Unfortunately I lack photo evidence of both.
7.) Nor Easter

Taking 7th place, we have Nor Easter!

Located across Kimball Terrace Inn (with a REAL creepy seal mascot...sealiously look at this thing!) this Market and Pound felt much more like a typical pub/bar restaurant. The waitress was super nice but unfortunately the rest of the staff seemed to be struggling as our food took forever and there was a few mishaps with the orders. The biggest reason for being so low on the list however was simply due to quality of food which was still good but nothing really to 'hark' on about (haha seal pun get it)?
8.) Ben & Bill's Chocolate Emporium

This ice-cream and candy shop has a variety of goodies. They also were conscientious of food restrictions offering gluten free waffle cones and vegan ice-cream flavors. Another pro is the fact they offer samples. However, the ice-cream was simply not the same level of quality as Udder Heaven and was VERY pricey.

9.) Melt

Heading to Maine, the one food I was most excited for was the lobster roll. It was a long wait but on our 'last day' we stopped at Melt in downtown Bar Harbor before heading home.

Unfortunately, I was quick to be disappointed. The lobster roll was cold. Which yes, is traditional, but I was expecting something hot from a place called melt. While the lobster meat did taste fresh and overall was delicious (c'mon its fresh lobster, it's going to taste good), I was disheartened. The sandwich did not taste that much better than the one offered for $16 at Columbia Harbor house art Disney. At a price-tag of $85 for two lobster rolls and fries, I wanted to be blown away. The best thing the restaurant did was the fries which were crisp and like a giant air bubble as they were hollow on the outside. Also got a side of cheese which wasn't very warm and had an artificial taste. 6/10 ⭐,s for Melt 🙁

Outta Bar Harbor. Non-negotiable pit stops!
It simply wouldn't be fair of me if I didn't include these epic pit stops for some road-trippin' grub on our way to and from Acadia! For this round I'll start from my least favorite (which was still pretty good) to my top favorite food stop.
3.) Phở Sàigòn, Springfield MA

On the way home, the fam usually stops in Springfield, MA to grab a bite to eat. On this trip we decided to grab some pho. I was most excited for this place merely for the fact they had a vespa lol.

We were honestly a little sketch of the place at first as it was in the 'dark' parts of the neighborhood. But the place was popping with diverse guests. The service honestly wasn't the best and they seemed a little understaff. The food however was good and comforting (cant go wrong with pho in that regard lol).

2.) The Holy Donut, Portland ME
Next up we have the holy grail of donuts, and potatoes...Wait what potatoes? That's right, potatoes. The best of two worlds come together to form potato donuts at The Holy Donut.

I got the blueberry lemon, which was SUPER lucky as it was the last one left (and hidden aka not on display lol). I never had a potsto donut before and it was so yum! The donut itself is dense yet airy at the same time?! The glaze was creamy and bomb.com. Oh yeah, Alix also let me have a bite of his gluten free chocolate sea salt and that was amazeballs. Definitely best gluten free pastry I tried!
1.) Wild Oats, Brunswick ME
Speaking of gluten free, Gerri was in gluten-free heaven that day cause after holy donuts we stopped at Wild Oats for lunch!
This cafe, bakery, and deli was so cute and had so many areas to explore! They also had so many dietary options anyone with an allergy or dietary preference would be sure to find something without skimping on quality.
Even though my food was not gluten free, I certainly felt like I was in heaven too on this visit to wild oats!

Wild Oats was definitely a 10/10 place and 10/10 experience (the staff was seriously the realest and kindest people and everything was so aesthetic)!. I had so much fun and was totally immersed in nostalgia thinking of Local Roots, the Spoon, and the mini Wooster cafes at college. Cannot wait to go and explore this market again someday!
